A Love Letter to You from God

Steps to Peace with God                Peace with God               Finding Hope with Billy Graham

Believe the Word

It is not enough to just read God’s Word, we need to sincerely believe what has been said in the Word. The Word is God speaking to us – one on one and He will always tell us the truth about everything.

Believe the Word when it says ...

God created you,
whether you are
male or female,
to be in His Image
and after His Likeness.

Genesis 1:26,27

God created the heaven and
the earth and all its fullness and
everyone who dwells on earth.

Psalm 24:1; Genesis 1:1-27

All things were made through Him
(Jesus Christ - the Son of God),
and without Him nothing
was made that was made.

John 1:3; Colossians 1:15-17

The Word (Jesus Christ) became flesh and
dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14

God so loved you
that it was not His will
that you should perish
but that you should
have eternal life,
so He sent His only
begotten Son (Jesus Christ)
to redeem you from a
lifestyle of sin and
give you a new beginning.

2 Peter 3:9; John 3:16 –

All have sinned - fallen short of living a life
of doing what is right in God's sight.

Romans 3:23

Repent and turn away from your sinful lifestyle
so that all your sins can be blotted out.

Acts 3:19

Unless one is born again,
repents of doing wrong and
chooses to do what is right,
he or she cannot enter
the Kingdom of God.

Deuteronomy 30:14 -19; John 3:3, 5-7

Confess with your mouth
the Lord Jesus Christ
and believe in your heart that
God has raised Him from the dead,
and you will be saved,
for with the heart one believes
to righteousness,
and with the mouth confession
is made to salvation.

Romans 10:9,10

Jesus Christ is the (one and only) way,
the truth, and the life.
No one can come to the Father in Heaven
except through Him.

John 14:6

Jesus Christ came to earth to "destroy"
the works of the devil (sin) in your life.
And from the cross He said, "It is finished!"
He accomplished what He had
come to do for you.

1 John 3:5,8; John 19:30

By His stripes you were healed
(and that healing is for your body, soul, and spirit).

1 Peter 2:24

Believe and accept what Jesus Christ
did for you on the cross
and you will be saved from
a life of sin and its penalty.

Acts 16:31

The wages of sin is death
(eternal separation from God)
but the gift of God is eternal life
through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23

Being redeemed from a life of sin is a gift
of God, through Jesus Christ, not of works,
so no one can boast of redeeming themselves.

Ephesians 2:1-10

The Holy Spirit was sent to teach
you all about the things of God.
And He will bring to your remembrance
what the Word of God has said to you.

John 14:26; Ephesians 1:17,18

God will supply your every need (not want) through Jesus Christ.

Philippians 4:19

You can give Jesus Christ all your cares and He will take care of them.

1 Peter 5:7

You can do all things through Christ who will strengthen you.

Philippians 4:13

God knows the plans He has for you and they are plans to bless you.

Jeremiah 29:11

God forgives all your sins, He heals all your diseases.

Psalm 103:3

God will work everything that happens, together for your good.

Romans 8:28

There is no greater teaching
than to love the Lord your God
with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your mind, and with all your strength.
And to love your neighbor as yourself.

Mark 12:29-31

God is not a human being,
and He will not lie.
He is not a human,
and He does not change His mind.
What He says He will do,
He does.
What He promises,
He makes come true.

Numbers 23:19

My Word that goes forth from My Mouth;
it shall not return to Me void,
but it shall accomplish what I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11

God’s Word is Powerful on Our Behalf!

These are just a few of the promises in the Word of God that you can believe in. There are many, many more promises in the Word of God that you can personalize and believe in. And for that reason, I encourage you to take the time to find them for yourself because they will be a great blessing and comfort to you as well as to those you love.
